Lindsay Park Baptist Church was started in 1957 as an offshoot from Kingsbury Baptist Church, two miles away.
We are a well-established evangelical church committed to the preaching of God’s Word and we are blessed to have a well-mixed and caring fellowship. Our Pastor, Roger Martin, leads with his wife Sarah who also heads-up CAP Life Skills.
In our worship we aim for a lively mix of modern and traditional songs. The worship group usually consists of piano and cello, with singers. We use multi-media technology to enhance our worship.
We are members of the London Baptist Association and the Baptist Union of Great Britain. Our church has a membership of 47 adults with an average Sunday morning congregation of about 45 adults and 12 children/young people.
Our church is prominently situated on a main road, a short walking distance from the centre of Kingsbury. There are good transport links in the locality. Kingsbury tube station is only 5 minutes walk from the church, and is on the Jubilee line which goes straight into Central London. Overground lines are also just a short bus ride/drive away and there are good bus services to other local areas. The M1 and A1 are only 15-20 minutes drive away, and the M25 only about 20 minutes drive away.
We currently have two services on a Sunday:
Our Morning Service begins at 10.30am and lasts until about 11:45am. All ages meet together for the first 20 minutes and then the children go off to their separate classes. After the service, tea and coffee are served to give an opportunity for people to get to know each other.
In the Evening we meet twice a month at 6pm for a service lasting an hour. Many churches in London have discontinued their Sunday evening service and so we welcome anyone in membership at other churches to join us for this time of worship and fellowship.
We share Communion twice monthly – on the first Sunday of the month in the evening service and on the third Sunday of the month in the morning service.
Housegroup – We have a house group that meets fortnightly during school term times for informal prayer, fellowship and Bible study together.
Prayer – We have a weekly prayer group meeting at 10:30am on Wednesdays mornings in the room 5 at the church.
Messy Church – This runs once a month at 10:30am on a Saturday morning and is a great family time of fun and creativity. It is a very popular event!
